filters

this was the very first time that i was using the filters so i was just trying to get used to the different types of filters that were available. for this image i decided to use under painting for the background. i played around with the brush size and the texture coverage to make sure that my image i clear to see. this filter is under artistic.

i used rough pastels for this one. rough pastels is under the artistic section and i had to play around with some things so it wasn't too dark for people to see. i played around with the stroke length, stroke Detail, the scaling and the relief. i also turned of the rough pastels feature so that the image seemed more clear.

for this one i decided to use something different now that i had gotten used to the filters. i used the torn edges filter which is under the sketch section.i played around with the contrast and the smoothness of the image.

for this one i used the glass filter which can be found under the distort section. i really liked this filter because it really looked like glass. i had to play with the distortion just to see what it would do and i also turned off the glass option because it looked more realistic when the glass option was turned off.

for this one i used the glowing edges filter which can be found in the stylise section. i played around with the edge width and the edge brightness to choose what i think was best suited for the image. i also turned of the glowing edges option to make it look better.

for this one i almost did the same thing as i did for the one before because this one also includes the glowing edges filter but also after that i decided to add  the stained glass effect which can be found in the texture section. i decided to turn the film grain feature off because it didn't  look that good with it on.

this is the charcoal filter which can be found in the sketch section. i played around with the charcoal thickness so that you can see the image more clearly. i also decided to leave the charcoal option on because i think it looks very good. with it turned off i think it doesn't look that good.

this is the photocopy filter which can be found in the sketch section. i turned off the photocopy option because the image came out as black and white and it didn't look that good to anybody that was looking at it.

for this one i used the paint daubs which can be found in the artistic section. i decided to keep the paint daubs on because when i turn it off the image goes too dark for me and so i left it on and it looks very bright and it stands out. i played around with the brush size and the sharpness so that i can get what i was looking for.

  1. nice range of filters- some of which will be more suitable to a fashion magazine than others, the commentary is insightful ( comparing/ contrasting, talking about the merits and suitability to the differing filters. comparing the different setting with in one filter you liked to see what differing effects can be achieved.
