approaches to advertising campaigns

celebrity endorsements

Turkish airways- messi and Kobe Bryant

I think that the use of celebrities here worked because it tells people that Turkish airways is popular amongst famous people. these famous people have loads of money and they choose Turkish airways instead. it sends the message that this airline is the best airline out there and tempts people to use it.


Nike-  Ronaldo, Kane and martial

the use of celebrity endorsement here is needed in a way because the advert is on the 2016 euros and all these people featuring are going to the euros so it makes sense. all three are important members of their teams and are very well known around the world.


head and shoulders- Joe hart [England goalkeeper]

I think this use of a celebrity was not needed because it doesn't make me want to go out and get this product. I think though the use of a famous person who has played for England has boosted its popularity.

EE - Kevin bacon

this advert has gotten more popular because of Kevin bacon being in it so the message gets there to more people


shock advertising

Iceland monkey palm oil

this is shocking because nobody expected Iceland to make a Christmas advert with a monkey. not many people understood it at first which got people confused.


don't drink and drive 50th anniversary

this is shocking because it shows how easy it is for people to get involved in car crash and the consequences you will pay if you drink and drive.


look both ways

this is powerful for everyone because it was very scary for kids who seen it. this got the message out more to look both ways before crossing and it made people more wary of their surroundings. this advert would often make young people cry and so this made them more wary when crossing the road
